Use of Consumer Fireworks

We want everybody to have a safe and enjoyable July 4th celebration.  With that in mind, please follow the laws below pertaining to the use of consumer fireworks.

According to State Law and Local Ordinance, no person shall ignite, discharge, or use fireworks within the City at any time, except that, Consumer fireworks may only be ignited, discharged, or used between 8:00 a.m. and Midnight on July 3rd, July 4th and July 5th (The day before, of and day after a National Holiday).
 

Fireworks may only be used on Your OWN private property unless you have express written permission by the property owner. 

They may not be used on Public property including streets, road right of way, or on school, church or the private property of another.  

You must be at least 18 years old to and cannot be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. 

The above regulations do not apply to low impact fireworks such as sparklers.

Unmanned free-floating devices. Any unmanned free ... floating device (sky lanterns) which requires fire underneath to propel it and is not moored to the ground while aloft, have an uncontrolled and unpredictable flight path and descent area so as to pose a potential fire risk and are therefore prohibited.
