Notice of Zoning Variance Request


PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Zoning Board of Appeals has been requested to grant two variances from the zoning ordinance to erect a six-foot privacy fence in the side yard at 1439 Rosedale, Sylvan Lake, MI 48320.  This property is in the R1 Residential Zoning District. 

Property Description: T3N, R9E, SEC 36 SYLVAN LAKE SUB NO 3 LOT 240  PIN: 13-36-480-014 

Variances Required:  Section 78-613(b)1 Fences and screening. Side yard: Shall not exceed 4’ in height, and shall be open, decorative design, such as aluminum, wrought iron, or similar durable material, and obscuring less than 50% of the fence area, requiring a variance for the height, and type of fencing being requested. 

According to the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, we are notifying all property owners within 300 feet of the parcel in question that the Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on February 20, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sylvan Lake Community Center, 2456 Pontiac Drive, Sylvan Lake, MI 48320, to hear and consider any objections to granting this variance.  Written comments will be accepted at City Hall until 4:00 p.m. the day of the hearing.
